A classic Guatemalan bean: very sweet, with a dash of floral and citrus and just the right amount of chocolate finish.
These beans come from the western highlands of Guatemala, from a small cooperative made up of 50/50 men and women (a rarity!). This coffee was grown organically, though the organic certification paperwork got held in up in Guatemala and we are unable to use the official USDA logo right now.
We bought the coffee from a non-profit called De La Gente, which is working to improve the lives of coffee farmers through direct trade, education, and agritourism.
